DTN COMMENTS:  A scattered trade is being reported in parts of Nebraska with 
a few deals marked at 111.00, fully steady with yesterday and last week. 
Packer inquiry is improving and we expect that more bids will surface as the 
day progresses. Asking prices are around 113.00-114.00 in the South, and 
176.00 plus in the North. 

A moderate trade took place in parts of the North yesterday with dressed 
business ranging from 173.00-174.00, mostly 174.00, fully steady with last 
week's weighted average basis Nebraska. Live deals ranged from 108.00-
111.00, mostly 110.00-111.00, steady/weak with last week's trade. The South 
remained very quiet yesterday. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower with 
light to moderate box movement.
